Summer Finds #3 2021

It hasn't been that long since I got my first R.L. Rose Co. 8oz. whiskey, but thanks to some trading with a good friend I was able to get the other version as well! This example is footed and also unlisted.

Another fellow collector decided to sell their small collection of Woonsocket bottles recently. He was kind enough to offer me first pick. Out of the three bottles I was interested in, two were unlisted. The most exciting find was a completely unlisted J.B.H. Savard Woonsocket, RI medicine.

The other bottle was a quart Garneau Soda Works Woonsocket, RI. This bottle is listed as a handmade crown top but this example is machine made.

The same collector also spotted a Fisk & Co. Druggists Pawtucket, RI medicine at a local antique shop and got it for me. While it is the most common pharmacy bottle from Pawtucket, it comes in many sizes, and at 2-3/4” it was unlisted and is now the smallest known size!

I spotted a McKenna & Nolan Providnece, RI etched wine in a group of bottles on ebay. I was pretty surprised considering I have etched wines from the McKenna Bros. And McKenna & Conaty, the two other RI bottlers that shared the same last name. Now they make a unique trio!
