The Providence construction site wasn't done yet! I caught a worker there who let us poke around a spot they just dug up. I found a Armington's Flavoring Extracts Providence, RI. I found a piece of one of these years ago so it was a wonderful feeling to finally get an intact one!
It was a sad day when I heard the Newport spot had been covered up an landscaped. I got two final bottles from a friend as a final sendoff for that legendary spot. The first was a Thos. Denniston Newport, RI blob. While beat up, it was a new version!
He also had a Carbonated Spring Water Newport, RI seltzer. While it was missing the top, it was an unlisted seltzer and will certainly suffice for now!
The construction site also gave up a Geo. L. Claflin & Co. Providence, RI pharmacy. At a respectable 6-1/2” it was an unlisted larger size.
My favorite find was a little W.R. Greene Providence, RI pharmacy. It has a lot of embossing for a tiny bottle!
