A friend from the antique shop I sell in (Nostalgia in Providence) brought in a few bottles for me to look at. I was rather delighted to see she had a W.H. Buffington Bristol, RI pharmacy bottle! Buffingtons are one of the rarer Bristol meds, and this was an unlisted older style!
She also had an equally rare Morris Pharmacy Bristol, RI. I have one of these, but at 4” it was a new size!
Back at a dump I've dug on and off for a while, I opened up a big hole with a friend of mine and we hit the good layer! First out was a W.H. Boardman Lonsdale, RI. At 6-3/4”, it was a new size.
Next up was a very rare Walter B. Peck Lonsdale, RI. At 3-1/2” it was also a new size.
My friend dug a real heartbreaker, an intact but badly cracked McGunagle Bros. Valley Falls, RI pharmacy. I would love to find one of these in good condition!
